The Vision: City of David

Proverbs 29:18 states that “where there is no vision the people perish.” In addition James 2:17 says, “Faith without works is dead.” God gave me a vision in 1995 to return to the state of South Carolina to help make a difference for His people.  Now that I am here, I can clearly see the reason the vision is needed. There is a thin line between the vision, the visionary, and selfish motives. With that in mind it takes much prayer, dedication, commitment, and many godly people around to ensure the visionary stays focused on bringing the vision to pass.  God gave this vision to be a blessing to his people.

We need supporters to make this vision a reality. We needs land and finances. Currently we need 125 to 150 acres of land. In addition to a sanctuary for worship, the land will hold an education facility that will include a school (K-12), daycare, after school and job training program. A sports complex will include gymnasiums and at least 6 baseball, football fields and outdoor basketball courts. Because ministry is designed to meet the needs of all people, we will provide shelters for men, women and children, an apartment complex, houses, nursing home, adult daycare and a senior citizen high rise. There will be a restaurant, bowling alley, traveling agency, styling and barber salon, credit union, insurance agency, and a TV and radio broadcast station.  There will be buses, vans and trucks for transportation and income purposes. In addition to all of this, there will be a park with gazebos, ponds, ducks and geese. Welcome to the City of David!

This ministry is targeting Rock Hill, Edgemoor, Louisville, Richburg, and Chester. To date, fifty six acres of land on highway 901 have been purchased. We thank God for allowing us to work toward this vision and as our states; we plan to go beyond that. After establishing the vision in Rock Hill, the next step is rebuilding my hometown of Kingstree, SC. We need God’s direction and partners who will say with us, “Order our steps, our thoughts, and our hearts in You, Lord!”
